As you know, Ramush Haradinaj resigned on July 19, 2019, as Kosova’s Prime Minister because he has been summoned for questioning by the Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague.
Both Roland Gjoni and I published articles in 2012 to question why the International War Crimes Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague (ICTY) had reopened Ramush Haradinaj’s case after he had been acquitted in 2008, why he had been forced to languish in prison for almost two years before the retrial began, and whether the Tribunal had compromised its legal principles in favor of the Prosecution. On November 29, 2012, Haradinaj was acquitted a second time of all charges of committing war crimes as a KLA Commander during the Kosova war.
Roland Gjoni, an expert in international law, published his “ICTY: Favoring Prosecution over Justice?” in Open Democracy on August 9, 2011, and I published my “Ramush Haradinaj: Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied” in Prishtina Insight on May 10, 2012. No matter where one sits on the political spectrum, or what one thinks about Ramush Haradinaj, it is not just an individual, but a country that once again is being placed under international scrutiny because of Serbia’s success in creating a false parity between the perpetrators and the victims of the Balkan wars of the 1990s.

Sic e dini, Ramush Haradinaj dha doreheqje me 19 korrik 2019 nga pozita e Kryeministrit te Kosoves pasi ai u ftua ne cilesine e te dyshuarit per intervistim nga Dhoma e Specializuar e Prokurorise ne Hage.
Une dhe Roland Gjoni kemi publikuar shkrime qysh ne vitin 2012, ne te cilat kemi ngrite çeshtjen e rihapjes, padrejtesisht, te rastit te Ramush Haradinajt nga Tribunali per Krime te Luftes ne Ish-Jugosllavi me seli ne Hage, Tribulan që e kishte shpalle njehere te pafajshem Harandinajn me 2008, por edhe mbajtjes se tij ne paraburgim per rreth dy vite asokohe, si dhe per faktin qe Tribunali kishte kompromentuar principet e veta ligjore ne favor te Prokurorise. Me 29 nentor 2012, Haradinaj edhe per here te dyte ishte shpalle i pafajshem per krimet e supozuara gjate kohes qe kishte qene Komandant i UÇK-se ne luften e Kosoves.
Roland Gjoni, ekspert i se drejtes nderkombetare, publikoi shkrimin “ICTY/Gjylata e Hages: Favorizimi i Prokurorise kundrejte Drejtesise” ne Open Democracy me 9 gusht 2011, kurse une publikova shkrimin “Ramush Haradinaj: Drejtesia e Vonuar eshte Drejtesi e Mohuar,” ne Prishtina Insight me 10 Maj 2012. Pa marre parasysh, se ku qendrojme ne spektrin politik, apo çka mendojme per Ramush Haradinajn, ne kete rast nuk eshte ne pyetje vetem nje individ, por nje shtet qe edhe nje here po vendoset nen lupen nderkombetare per shkak te suksesit te Serbise ne krijimin e nje pariteti fallso ne mes te keqbereseve dhe viktimave te luftrave ballkanike te viteve te 1990-ta.
